Worth Knowing First
The standard Ajax Hub 2 connects by wired Ethernet and a mobile SIM. It has no Wi-Fi. That matters most in double-storey homes, where the router is rarely near the best spot for the hub. The Hub 2 Plus supports Wi-Fi as well, for $150 more on any of our packages. If you configure a system yourself, this is the detail most often missed, and it is the first thing we check when a configured list comes through.
The configurator covers devices. What it cannot know is your property: how the cabling runs, what needs mounting where, how many sensors actually cover the openings you care about, and whether anything needs a power point added.
