Alarms and cameras for workshops, shops and offices. A wired Ajax Superior alarm, Dahua cameras cabled back to a data cabinet, and a free site visit and written quote on every job.
How I Do Business Security
A commercial site needs a higher-grade alarm than a house, so for business premises we use the wired Superior line from Ajax. On the camera side, a business generally needs more cameras than a home, and every one of them is cabled back to a lockable data cabinet with a patch panel.
Recent jobs include workshops: a car detailing workshop, a tyre workshop and automotive workshops, each with an Ajax alarm and Dahua cameras. The Bibra Lake write-up shows an old commercial alarm panel replaced with Superior.
Recent Work

A newly opened mechanical workshop: four Dahua 6MP cameras on a 4-channel NVR in a wall cabinet, and an Ajax Hub 2 (4G) alarm with a backup SIM, sirens, motion detectors and keyfobs.
The TiOC 3 Pro watches the entry door and the roller door, with tripwire and intrusion zones that arm overnight and over the weekend.

New for Small Business
Putting cameras in a shop or small business? Under the SBDC’s Small Business Resilience Program CCTV Rebate, the WA Government will refund 50% of a new internal CCTV system, excluding GST, up to $2,000, for eligible retail and customer-facing businesses with fewer than 20 employees. Applications opened on Monday 19 October 2026 and close when the funding runs out. You need pre-approval before the install, funding is first come, first served, and the system has to be hard-wired and fitted by a licensed Class 2 security installer. Business jobs start with a free site visit and a written quote, and I can put the camera specifications and my licence details on it.
Common Questions
Yes. Every commercial job starts with a free site visit and a written quote.
Often, yes. It is usually the panel that has failed or become obsolete, while the cabling and detectors are still working. With Ajax Superior and a MultiTransmitter, the existing wired detectors connect to the new Ajax hub, so the cabling stays where it is.
Both options are available: self-monitored, where the alarm notifies you or a person you appoint, or monitored by a monitoring company. I connect the alarm to the monitoring company of your choice, and you deal with them directly. I ask each client which they prefer.
On a commercial job we run every camera cable back to a lockable data cabinet with a patch panel, so the cabling ends in one place and the security equipment is protected. We recommend a UPS (battery backup) with it so the system keeps running if the power drops, and most clients accept.
Dahua, for value for money. Every camera can give you colour after dark, and each one links Dahua's own datasheet so you can check a number yourself.
Yes, and it is common. The alarm runs in the Ajax app and the cameras in Dahua's DMSS app, and both are set up on your phone, and on your manager's, before we leave.
